[vc_row bg_color=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Get ready!! Monday 22nd June we start our 21 days of prayer and fasting.
We are calling you to join us!
Just like Esther we believe this is our God moment… “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16 ESV
Decide if, what and how much you’re going to engage.
Don’t do what you’ve always done… Seek God and He’ll guide you!
Remember – We don’t fast to pay a price. The price has been paid in FULL. We fast to refine our focus so that we can more fully apprehend all that Jesus has purchased on the cross.
This time we’re fasting for 2 main reasons..
1. God to fill us more so we can have greater impact.
2. Our prayer life to revive and start to blaze!
Let’s do it together! Let’s do it with God’s Strength!
There are many times you will fast for personal reasons and at those moments it will be a private fast. Our fast is a corporate fast so we all do it together.
Make sure to email in what you’re fasting and what fast you’re doing. email@example.com

The Start, during and end
Before you Start
Confess your sins to God. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of weakness. Forgive all who have offended you and ask forgiveness from those you may have offended (Mark 11:25; Luke 11:4; 17:3-4). Surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ and reject the worldly desires that try to hinder you (Romans 12:1-2).
What to Expect
When you fast your body detoxifies, eliminating toxins from your system. This can cause mild discomfort such as headaches and irritability during withdrawal from caffeine and sugars. And naturally, you will have hunger pains. Limit your activity and exercise moderately. Take time to rest. Fasting brings about miraculous results. You are following Jesus’ example when you fast. Spend time listening to praise and worship. Pray as often as you can throughout the day. Get away from the normal distractions as much as possible and keep your heart and mind set on seeking God’s face.
How to End well
Don’t overeat when the time comes to end your fast. Begin eating solid food gradually; eat small portions or snacks.
Fasting is a great way to seek God for a short season so He can fill us afresh.
Fasting is about changing yourself, not changing God. Fasting is not about manipulating God.
Maybe you’re far from God, maybe you’re standing in the middle of a crisis with no answer. Jesus told his disciples some things only change with fasting and praying. Fasting is about denying yourself, taking yourself off the throne of your life and letting God be King.
Fasting is a choice, but it is also obedience. In Matthew 6, Jesus talks about three duties of every Christian: giving, praying and fasting. And He doesn’t use the word ‘if’, He uses the word ‘when’. You could choose not to fast this year, but why would you? Why would you choose to stay where you are when God has so much more for you?
